Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME generic domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific terms on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost.
