Access Log Manager
Find out more about the Access Log Manager and the data that you will find within it.
An access log is a thorough list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a particular website. Every file that was requested in some way shall be listed, so if you have a single page with three embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, for instance, the access log will contain a total of 6 entries - one for any of the six files that were accessed when the site visitor opened the page. A log typically provides the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. Oftentimes you may also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The information which an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a laptop or computer and used to write reports on the functionality of a website, in addition to the web statistics your hosting server may have created.

Access Log Manager in Website Hosting
Enabling the generation of access logs will be extremely easy if you acquire a
website hosting from us. The Hepsia web hosting Control Panel, included with all the accounts, has a section dedicated to different logs which is where you will find the access logs too. Once you navigate there, you shall see a list of all the
domains hosted inside the account and the subdomains created for them. Our custom made cloud hosting platform will start producing an access log for each of them when you click on the On button, that you will see on the right. If you no longer need logs, disabling the option is just as quick and can be done by clicking on the Off button inside the very same section. All of the logs are downloadable, so you can effortlessly save and manage them on your PC or laptop.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our state-of-the-art website hosting platform will generate access logs for every site hosted within a
semi-dedicated server account, assuming that this feature is activated. All domains and subdomains that you have will be listed inside the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, which we offer with all the accounts, so if you want our system to start producing logs for any of them, you should just click on the small button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You'll be able to disable this function anytime by following the exact same steps. You'll find a Download link for every single log within the same section of the Control Panel, so you may save the content generated by our system in .txt format with only a click. An existing log file may be downloaded even after the function has been disabled, so you'll still be able to view the data that's already been generated.
