To do justice when writing about an object, it’s always better to have it on the desk next

to the computer and be able to pick it up now and again, to assess its finer points whilst crafting

the text. Writing about things you can’t see, or have never seen, is more akin to writing fiction. It’s certainly harder to do that when discussing the technical details about items like watches as people seem to instinctively know when a piece has been written that way. Perhaps it’s the lack of details in the descriptions, or a lack of passion flowing through in the writing. Either way, to avoid such ‘holes’ in the articles, DeskDivers purchase objects to use when writing the articles. Often there will be multiples, especially if there are numerous options/versions to cover off. When the work is done, invariably these items will need to find new homes and here are some of these ready and waiting for a new owner.

Clicking on the photo next to the short description takes you to a page with the full rundown about the item in question which also includes a number of large photographs. All watches are given full and frank descriptions as you would expect. Sadly, not everyone who sells a watch on line will do that. Often many of the marks mentioned will not be that obvious in real life of course as the descriptions are completed using a loupe and the photos are much larger than the watch itself in ‘real life’.

Camy Kings Club

Full size 42mm case and just serviced. This one is the only one we’ve ever seen with this case shape and it’s almost mint condition too. Great fun for everyday wear as it’s not expensive but looks great with a suit or jeans - if the rest of your work mates wear modern watches, then why not be different?

Classic Rolex Submariner 5513

As worn by the likes of James Bond and a number of other seriously cool dudes back in the day.

Proper vintage subs with matt black dials, caramel tritium lume and acrylic crystals are all heading up in value faster than any other watch, and with good reason. These are classy yet understated; no modern Rolex bling here.

This watch is in nice used condition with no big dings or over finishing as is often apparent on many of its brothers.
The whole watch is a testament to the Rolex quality back in the day, in fact many would argue that it’s looking better than ever now and at this price who can argue its value!

For Sale: £SOLD

Rolex Case Openers

Something a bit different... old tools are always worth money and the horological items are very nice indeed. The ‘Snap-on’ of any watch makers tools are of course Rolex. Anything Rolex branded is worth good money from pens and lighters to boxes and displays, making these case openers very good value indeed.

For Sale: £295

Seiko 4205 Diver

A really nice aged Seiko diver is a joy to behold. Many of these models are over used or fitted with modern bezels and dials. This is an exception and as such is all the better for it. A nicely aged bezel with a beautiful dial with caramel lume. Wow!

For Sale: £SOLD
